Quantity for the Value: 3 Gr

Packaging: We work with the best seed suppliers from Spain, Germany, Holland and Chile, which allows us to offer you Galician Lettuce seeds harvested and packaged in 2024, guaranteeing their freshness and a high percentage of germination.

Crop duration: Galician Lettuce is a fast-growing plant, which can be harvested approximately 60 to 70 days after sowing. The leaves can be harvested when they are tender, to enjoy their best flavor.

Special Features: Galician Lettuce is distinguished by its large, curly leaves, which form a loose, open head. This variety is highly appreciated for its resistance and ability to adapt to various climatic conditions, being especially suitable for temperate and cool climates.

Lighting: Prefers full sun, although it can also grow in partial shade, especially in warmer climates, to prevent bitter leaves or premature flowering. Make sure plants receive at least 4 to 6 hours of direct sunlight per day.

Watering: Keep the soil constantly moist, but well-drained. Regular watering is essential to prevent leaves from toughening and to keep lettuce tender and tasty.

Pests: Lettuce can be susceptible to pests such as aphids, slugs and leaf miners. The use of environmentally friendly products, such as potassium soap and Neem oil, is recommended for pest control.

Cold resistance: Galician Lettuce is relatively resistant to cold and can withstand light frosts. It is ideal for sowing in spring and autumn, although it can also be grown during the summer in cooler areas or under shade.

Substrate: A well-drained substrate rich in organic matter is recommended. A mixture of compost and potting soil is ideal for growing this variety of lettuce.

Harvest: You can harvest the outer leaves first, allowing the plant to continue growing and producing, or harvest the entire head when it reaches the desired size. For a continuous harvest, sow new seeds every two weeks.

Shipping: All shipments are made through Bluespress. Check out our growing manuals on our website: www.arcademendel.com .
