Packaging: We work with the best German, Spanish, Dutch and Chilean seed suppliers, which allows us to offer you Roman Chamomile seeds harvested and packaged in 2024, guaranteeing their freshness and a high percentage of germination.

Growing time: Roman Chamomile is a relatively fast growing plant. Flowers usually appear in summer, approximately 60 to 90 days after sowing, depending on growing conditions.

Special Features: Roman Chamomile is known for its small, delicate flowers, with white petals surrounding a yellow center. These flowers are highly valued for their calming and anti-inflammatory properties, and are commonly used to prepare herbal teas that help relieve stress, anxiety, and digestive problems. Additionally, the plant is very hardy and can grow well in poor soil, making it an excellent choice for herb gardens, borders, or even as a ground cover plant.

Lighting: Prefers full sun, although can also tolerate partial shade. Make sure plants receive at least 4 to 6 hours of direct sunlight per day for optimal growth.

Watering: Roman Chamomile requires regular watering to keep the soil evenly moist, but well-drained. Although it is drought tolerant once established, it is important not to let the soil dry out completely during the active growth phase.

Pests: Roman Chamomile is generally resistant to pests, although it can occasionally be affected by aphids and spider mites. The use of environmentally friendly products, such as potassium soap, is recommended to keep pests under control.

Cold hardiness: Roman Chamomile is fairly cold hardy and can withstand light frosts, making it an excellent choice for temperate climates. In regions with harsher winters, it is recommended to protect the plant with mulch.

Substrate: A well-drained, slightly sandy substrate is recommended. Roman Chamomile prefers light to medium soils, with a slightly acidic to neutral pH.

Harvest: Roman Chamomile flowers are harvested when they are fully open. They can be used fresh or dried to prepare infusions or as ingredients in natural cosmetics. To dry the flowers, hang them upside down in a dark, well-ventilated place.

Shipping: All shipments are made through Bluespress. Check out our growing manuals on our website: www.arcademendel.com .
