Description of Mimosa Pudica Seeds

Introduction: At Arcade Mendel , we offer a unique selection of plants that stand out for their beauty and intriguing characteristics. The Mimosa Pudica , also known as the “sensitive plant” or “touch-me-not,” is famous for its ability to fold its leaves when touched or exposed to vibrations, making it a fascinating plant for any garden or indoor space. This plant is ideal for those looking to add a touch of interactivity and curiosity to their surroundings.

Quantity for the Value: 25 Seeds

Packaging: We work with the best German, Spanish, Dutch and Chilean seed suppliers, which allows us to offer you Mimosa Pudica seeds harvested and packaged in 2024, guaranteeing their freshness and a high percentage of germination.

Crop duration: Mimosa Pudica is a perennial in warm climates, but is grown as an annual in cooler climates. Seedlings may begin to respond to touch approximately 3 to 4 weeks after germination.

Special Features: Mimosa Pudica is known for its quick response to touch and vibration. When its leaves are touched, they fold inward within seconds, and reopen after a few minutes. This plant produces small, spherical pink or lavender flowers that bloom in summer.

Lighting: Prefers full sun or partial shade. For vigorous growth and quick response to touch, make sure the plant receives at least 6 hours of direct sunlight per day.

Watering: Keep the soil evenly moist, but well drained. Mimosa Pudica is sensitive to overwatering, so it is important not to let the soil become soggy.

Pests: Although it is relatively resistant, it can be attacked by aphids, mites and thrips. The use of environmentally friendly products, such as potassium soap and Neem oil, is recommended to keep pests under control.

Cold resistance: Mimosa Pudica is sensitive to cold and does not tolerate frost. In cold climates, it is recommended to grow it indoors or protect it from low temperatures.

Substrate: A well-drained, slightly acidic, organic-rich substrate is recommended. A mix of potting soil with perlite is ideal for this plant.

Shipping: All shipments are made through Bluespress. Check out our germination and care manuals on our website: www.arcademendel.com .
