Packaging: We work with the best German, Spanish, Dutch and Chilean seed suppliers, which allows us to offer you Pajaritos seeds collected and packaged in 2024, guaranteeing their freshness and a high percentage of germination.
Growing time: Pajaritos are fast-growing plants that flower profusely from spring through summer. Plants begin flowering approximately 8 to 10 weeks after sowing.
Special Features: Pajaritos are known for their delicate, multi-colored flowers, which feature a mix of pink, purple, white, and yellow hues, with unique shapes and patterns that mimic small birds or butterflies. These plants are compact and upright-growing, making them perfect for flower borders and container gardens. Additionally, they are highly attractive to pollinators such as bees and butterflies, contributing to a healthy garden ecosystem.
Lighting: They prefer full sun or partial shade. Pajaritos do best with direct sunlight for at least 4 to 6 hours a day, but can benefit from partial shade during the hottest hours of the day, especially in warm climates.
Watering: They require regular watering to keep the soil evenly moist but well drained. It is important to avoid waterlogging to prevent fungal diseases.
Pests: Pajaritos are generally resistant to pests, although they can occasionally be affected by aphids and mites. The use of environmentally friendly products, such as potassium soap, is recommended to keep pests under control.
Cold resistance: Pajaritos are sensitive to intense cold and do not tolerate frost well. It is recommended to sow after the risk of frost has passed in spring.
Substrate: A well-drained, organic-rich substrate is recommended. Pajaritos prefer slightly acidic to neutral soils and thrive in fertile, well-aerated soils.
Harvest: Pajaritos flowers can be enjoyed directly in the garden or used in small floral arrangements. To prolong flowering, cut off spent flowers regularly.
Shipping: All shipments are made through Bluespress. Check out our growing manuals on our website: www.arcademendel.com .
